Welcome to St. Aloysius School located in Fairfield County in the historic town of New Canaan, CT. Our school has been home to generations of students since its founding in 1956 as the first parochial school in New Canaan. Serving students in kindergarten through eighth grade, we are fully accredited and proud to be a recipient of the prestigious National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence award for “Outstanding Academic Achievement” in reading and mathematics. The U.S. Department of Education states that schools chosen as National Blue Ribbon recipients are models of excellence that other schools can emulate. We welcome individuals of every race, religious belief, and national and ethnic origin, who wish to contribute to the community and be nourished by it.
St. Aloysius is a school with an undeniable reputation for its rich Catholic tradition, loyal community, academic excellence, and student success. Our faculty and staff are committed to building upon our legacy by strengthening existing programs and launching new collaborations and relationships to advance our story and mission. Through all my years as an educator, I have come to believe that a faith-based education with a progressive academic journey will provide the strongest foundation for the future success of a child’s life.
Supplementing our curriculum is our exceptional athletics, arts, community service and extensive offering of enrichment programs. We are most proud of our implementation of S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) that is integrated into our curriculum. Spiritual, academically prepared, confident and well balanced; these are the characteristics of a St. Aloysius graduate and why we have remained on the cutting edge of Catholic education since 1956.
We will continue to prepare our students to be innovative problem solvers who are able to meet the challenges of the 21st century. The most essential skill for our students is learning how to learn. In our rapidly changing world we must prepare our students for jobs and careers that may not even exist today. Please join us in this journey together for the success of OUR future generation!
God Bless You,
Mr. Bardhyl Gjoka
