School Named a 2010 National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence

The U.S. Secretary of Education selected Saint Aloysius School as a National Blue Ribbon School in 2010. St. Aloysius was one of 304 schools nationwide – 254 public and 50 private schools – and among only 12 in Connecticut to attain this prestigious recognition.  The award was for “Outstanding Academic Achievement” in reading and mathematics. The U.S. Department of Education states that schools chosen as National Blue Ribbon recipients are models of excellence that other schools can emulate.

St. Aloysius School offers a challenging curriculum for its students to ensure that they would be ready to enter any high school and be prepared for success. Because everything done at the school is rooted in Catholic values, the school fosters an environment in which its students can truly thrive academically, socially and spiritually.

St. A students are routinely admitted into honors‐level math, English and social studies classes in parochial, private and public high schools throughout the region. In testament to the success of its faith-based distinguished academics, eighth-grade graduates attend top Catholic and private high schools:  Brunswick School, Convent of the Sacred Heart, Fairfield Prep, Hopkins School, Iona Prep, Lauralton Hall, Regis School, School of the Holy Child, and Trinity Catholic High School.
